After coordinating the luncheon, we definitely achieved our desired outcomes. Everything during the event ran smoothly and everyone seemed to have a wonderful time. We evaluated by asking the veterans and their families about their time at the luncheon. They all seemed so appreciative of our work and expressed their gratitude. We learned that putting in hard work pays off when the event is played out. The only thing that went wrong was that the microphone battery went out when there was a speaker or singer. Luckily, the room was small enough that the guests were still able to hear. We would offer Mrs. Duvall a way to have a back up microphone or another way to project sound. Other than this, the event was awesome!
We learned that the event planning process takes hard work and collaboration. A successful event is the product of several people working together to make it happen. We also learned that the hard work pays off. All of us were so pleased with the event and didn't want it to end. It was such a blessing to be a blessing to those who served our country.

Based on our experience, we would advise another event planner to give enough time for the planning process and have a detailed outline of deadlines to meet. We believe that since we had a written plan, our event was manageable with little stress.
